Yes, there is darkness within us all. Some people are a lot better at hiding it then others. There is no good without evil. The devil was once an angel but we all have a breaking point.

The mind plays tricks. They make things that are unreal some realistic. Power words and actions someone makes plays a role in making things dreamlike. I think the state of mind can affect that.

If a secret is kept to long, eventually all the lies and unanswered questions about the secret will become to much and the secret will slip up and who ever is behind the secret is out of luck.

I have observed greediness in many people. Like sometimes they get greedy if you talk to their friend. Or maybe it's over food. They don't wanna share even though they have plenty enough.

People hear voices in the woods because of the suspense and darkness, some times they have some things going on in life that needs to be resolved. It is like someone is trying to communicate from their past.

Why Do We Fear What We Do Not Know?

In my opinion, everyone has their own reasons for fearing the unknown. The reason I believe we fear what we do not know is because we're so used to everything being explained and having a reason for everything. I believe that we fear darkness because you never truly know what is in the dark itself. We don't fear the dark but what is really in the dark.

Gothic Series

The most important thing to me in gothic series is being able to scare without having to go through a whole process. Things that are unexpected are what I find intriguing but things like you know something's behind the door but you open it anyway. That's aggravating because nobody is that immature.
